Cleantechs: Apéritif du printemps de l'économie fribourgeoise

The Chamber of Commerce Fribourg will be holding its Spring get together this year in picturesque Chatel-St-Denis.

The theme for this years Aperitif is "Cleantechs" and it will be a round table event with various panel experts for the audience to interact wth and participate in the discussion. If last years event is any benchmark to go on then this years event should be a dynamic and involved meeting of partners and participants actively involved in the impact of Cleantechs and what it means specifically to Fribourg.

This yearly event is by invitation only and MNG Europe is proud to support and be involved with the Chamber of Commerce Fribourg.

Barcelona Show A Great Success

The recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week was a great success.

MNG Europe met with many interesting parties from around the globe and maximised from this opportunity to discuss business opportunities, market potentials and the future evolution of the mobile industry.

As well as touching base with international contacts, old & new, MNG Europe was also there to support & showcase some AlpICT start-ups such as Secu4 and their great security product BlueWatchDog.

Welcome to a great start to 2010

The recession seems to have receded! If recent events are any indication of how the rest of 2010 will unfold, then we are in for a very busy year at MNG Europe. MNG Europe continues to be involved in some exciting and innovative projects at various stages of progression, both locally in Switzerland and regionally across Europe. These upcoming events are just the tip of the iceberg.

First up is Mobile Monday, 1st February in Fribourg at the HES-SO Fribourg. As part of the Marketing Sub-Committee, MNG Europe is involved in various activities with Mobile Monday in Switzerland. The events topic is focused on web and mobile convergence, specifically Android, and is sure to be the hot topic for 2010 for all those involved in the mobile phone industry.

Second up is the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, 15th - 18th February. The mobile communications industry continues to evolve at an unprecedented pace, creating new opportunities and introducing new participants across the entire value chain. Tapping into innovation & ingenuity will be the core focus for MNG Europe at this event.

Third place, the Unified Communications Expo (UC Expo) in Olympia London, 10th & 11th March, is already proving to generate great interest amongst xSP's in the UK and across Europe. We will be present with one of our key clients investigating, sharing and building business potentials and collaboration within the Voice, Visual, Mobile & Data workspace.

ITU Telecoms 2009 Geneva

This years ITU Telecoms 2009 in Geneva Switzerland was somewhat disappointing when compared with previous shows. Apart from the obvious impact the recession has had on some big name companies that were very much absent, the usual volume of people attending was also quite low. The Malaysia Pavillion was a welcome breathe of fresh air, bringing a little touch of Malaysian hospitality and culture to an otherwise lack-lustre event. MNG mingled with smaller companies and had some interesting conversations with larger ones, especially at the Saudi Arabia Pavillion. Were you also there? What was your impression of ITU Telecoms this year?
